Development of Pioreactor Array Facility at Integrated Genome Factory

Development of Pioreactor Array Facility at Integrated Genome Factory

Integrated Genome Factory Project

Project Description

This project focuses on the design, development, and operation of a modular small-scale bioreactor array facility at the Integrated Genome Factory (IGF). The facility is built around Pioreactor-based systems to enable scalable, reproducible, and cost-efficient microbial cultivation for research, method development, and bioprocess optimization.

Project Goals

The Pioreactor Array Facility is designed to:

  • Establish a standardized platform for parallel microbial cultivation
  • Enable controlled growth experiments with real-time monitoring
  • Support method development for strain optimization and bioprocess scaling
  • Serve as a training and prototyping environment for bioengineering workflows
  • Provide an affordable alternative to conventional benchtop bioreactors
